Challenge
When Hilton set its sights on constructing a new 133-room Hilton Garden Inn Hotel and Conference Center in the Downtown Entertainment District of Manhattan, Kan., time was of the essence.
A fluid schedule that included several sequence revisions made the task of procuring and delivering construction materials to the site a daunting task.
Solution
American Direct, which was selected to provide doors and hardware for the project, had initially planned to consolidate product for delivery to the site at its own warehouse.
But when the already aggressive timeline got even more compacted, American Direct worked with its suppliers to arrange delivery directly to Manhattan. American Direct’s experienced project managers were able to adjust midstream to the schedule changes in a way that minimized lead times and costs.
