One Lakes Edge Luxury Apartments

Challenge
One Lakes Edge, an upscale multifamily complex with 390 residential units, an eight-story parking structure, and retail shops, was a project on a massive scale.
Hoar Construction contracted with American Direct to provide doors, frames, and hardware for 3,700 openings, 3,000 of which needed to be pre-hung. To complicate matters, the pre-hung doors were 8 feet tall instead of the usual 6 feet, 8 inch height. These oversized, extremely heavy doors weighed a total of nearly 200 tons, making delivery and installation a challenge.
Solution
American Direct got to work to craft a delivery plan that would work for the intense 18-month schedule. More than 30 deliveries were necessary, and due to the large number of openings, deliveries were made by area and by floor to keep things organized.
The client was so pleased with American Direct’s services and finish quality, they have since partnered with American Direct on three additional large-scale projects in Texas.
