Stonebridge Terrace at Potomac Town Center

Challenge
Multi-family housing is among the fastest-growing segments in the construction industry, with more than 350,000 units developed in 2015 alone. Many of the features that make these new apartments so attractive to renters also make them challenging construction projects — including managing access control for housing units that see fairly high resident turnover.
White/Peterman Properties enlisted WPM Construction Services and American Direct to help design and install a cost-effective, secure access system.
Solution
American Direct designed the door, frame, and hardware specifications based on an original spec request list from the owner. American Direct’s good/better/best product suggestion list provided the owner a host of choices for functionality, including the keyfob access control system that became one of the project’s hallmarks.
Residents can use the same keyfob to access their unit as they use to access common areas like the fitness center and parking garage. When residents move out, their keyfob is easy to reprogram for the next resident.
