What is Your Retrofit Potential?

I’m Byron Whetstone, the CEO at American Direct and a couple of weeks ago we were at the NACCU show the National Association of Campus Card Users.

It really is the security show for campus and university. While I was there I had the pleasure of talking to a number of schools and talking to a number of facilities, security, and IT professionals. What it really came down to is almost every campus has existing facilities that have significant retrofit potential. One big recurring theme from each of those conversations that stood out to me is that you don’t have to build a new facility to have an advanced access control platform.

In the case of one university, they had 14 access control platforms on one campus, and they were desperately trying to figure out a way to organize those and have those work together.
