One Light and Two Light

Challenge

One Light and Two Light were the first new residential towers built in Kansas City in almost 40 years. These high-end, multi-family projects included amenities such as a spa, terraces, entertainment areas as well as a club room. A partner familiar with high-end openings, and able to work in the small confines of a densely populated downtown area was integral to project success. General contractor JE Dunn turned to American Direct to get the job done right at the right price.

Solution

JE Dunn, along with Skyline Construction, selected American Direct to provide doors, frames and hardware. The project included 24 floors with more than 4,700 door openings. Cost management was paramount as even the smallest increase in the price of a door, frame or hardware could add up to significant increases. American Direct helped guide the selections with smart product choices with the look and feel of luxury, but a very affordable price tag. JE Dunn project manager said, “We had to get very creative to stay on budget, but American Direct helped us do that.”
