Collaboration is Key

As Byron Whetstone, American Direct’s CEO, mentioned in the monthly video, change is ever present in any industry and has been expedited by the pandemic, especially in the door and security industry. One way AmericanDirect and AccessNsite have adapted to the changes thrust upon industry is constant collaboration. As part of this collaboration, we have partnered with Dormakaba to create a complete security solution with integration between the Wi-Q Portal Gateway and the Mercury LP4502 controller. This solution essentially provides a “one stop shop” for secure and automated door security measures. The Wi-Q Gateway wireless device is connected to a computer host through an IP address, it then transfers signals from the controllers to the computer. The Mercury Board allows for the Wi-Q to be used with third-party access control software. This software is known as AccessNsite and allows for smoother correspondence, more features for safety measures, and allows for changes to be made wirelessly by the host and with incredible speed. These products work in tandem with one another and adhere to the Division 28 and 8 criteria to ensure that your building has the most protection possible. Not only does this integration offer a total security solution, but we also have staff that work with you to establish how these platforms can best serve your building.
