Securing Today’s Modern Campus

With the COVID pandemic, many colleges and universities across the nation transitioned to virtual learning methods, and slowly as restrictions start to ease, students have been able to return to these institutions. As students return, security is more important now than ever!

 

One of our favorite projects was at the University of Georgia-Athens. To support the growth of their incoming students, the dorm facility, Russell Hall, needed updating; that’s where we stepped in! We were able to provide them with new doors, frames, and hardware while still making old doors ADA compliant. “We developed creative solutions and used special ordering techniques with our manufacturers to fit the owners’ needs,” stated Project Manager Megan Homewood. Communication was vital in this project and through constant communication and coordination between everyone involved in the project, Russell Hall was updated with modern aspects to help give their students the best and safest experience possible!
